PCL News Flash: The Offseason Begins

It's time to turn the page. Another exciting season of PCL baseball is behind us, but there won't be time for reminiscing. Like everything else in baseball, the offseason is a time for action. Roster and financial moves, trade proposals and the upcoming winter meetings are all demanding the attention of general managers. While players head for well-deserved vacations, GMs across Pacific Coast League are already hard at work determining the next steps for their team.

Reno Wins Round 1!

It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Reno Aces, that meant the Pacific Coast League Round 1 trophy.
The Aces took a 8-7 victory over the Round Rock Express at Greater Nevada Field, winning their 1st championship after taking the series 4-3.
"We've got grit," said Aces first baseman Heriberto Hernandez, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the West Division and a 100-50 record.
