Giants Prevail, as Wild Card Game Goes to the Wire Thursday, October 5th , 2023 The San Francisco Giants are heading to the Division Series, having narrowly defeated the Colorado Rockies. San Francisco edged Colorado in the series 2-1, with a win at Colorado Field in the clinching game by a 11-10 margin. Josh Jung turned in a strong offensive performance for the Giants and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Jung continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .467 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 1 runs. The San Francisco Giants will play against the St. Louis Cardinals in the next round. St. Louis had a bye in the Wild Card Game.
