Rangers Advance to Division Series Thursday, October 5th , 2023 It was a rousing finish to the Wild Card Game at Globe Life Field today. The Texas Rangers sent the Oakland Athletics home for the season with a 6-2 win in the decisive game of the series. The Rangers took the series 2-1. Up next on their schedule is the Division Series. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Texas right fielder Alex Verdugo. His numbers included a .400 batting average, 2 RBIs and 5 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Division Series," he said. The Texas Rangers will play against the Chicago White Sox in the next round.
