Atlanta and Washington duked it out and the Braves came out victorious.
The Washington Nationals got a superb performance from pitcher Jose Urquidy, but the Atlanta Braves still won the game, 5-2. Urquidy threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The first-place Braves, at 86-74, now lead their division by 2 games.
Justin Turner, who is a two-time All-Star, chipped in for Atlanta with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"We're in the driver's seat," said Turner. "I like our chances."
