The Seattle Mariners got a superb performance from pitcher Huascar Ynoa, but the Texas Rangers still won the game, 4-3. Ynoa threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Texas reliever David Bednar picked up the win to move to 4-6. Emmanuel Clase suffered the loss. Texas improves to 84-70 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Texas second baseman Zach McKinstry, facing Emmanuel Clase, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rangers the 4-3 win.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Seattle skipper Patrick Haight.
