Giants Deal Diamondbacks 4-3 Defeat
|
San Francisco starter Shane Baz pitched well against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Baz picked up the win for San Francisco, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 11-11. Picking up the save was Josh Hader. He's now 41 for 46 in save chances.
San Francisco used the timely hitting of Josh Jung to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Giants ahead, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Baz.
With the victory, the Giants upped their record to 79-73.
