Athletics Lose at Home, 7-2, to Seattle
|
The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at Oakland Coliseum, knocking off the Oakland Athletics, 7-2. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander Aaron Nola, who played a pivotal role in the win. Matt Wisler earned the save, his 1st in 3 tries. With the win, Seattle upped its record to 79-72.
Nathaniel Lowe, the 28-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lowe contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Seattle up, 1-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Lowe told the Seattle Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
