Rangers Down Red Sox, 3-2
|
Texas Rangers starter Chris Paddack turned in a top-notch performance against the Boston Red Sox at Globe Life Field. The result was a win for the Rangers, 3-2. David Bednar picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-6. Edwin Díaz was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Red Sox have dropped 4 straight games.
The Rangers procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Manuel Margot. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Mark Karpinski, the Texas skipper. "This one tested us."
