Giants Earn 6-4 Win Versus Colorado
|
San Francisco took on Colorado in front of a lively crowd.
The San Francisco Giants topped the Colorado Rockies, 6-4, in National League action at Colorado Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of San Francisco pitcher Shane McClanahan. McClanahan, now 14-9, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.
Matt Olson, the fan favorite , had a direct impact on the outcome. Olson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put San Francisco up, 4-2.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said McClanahan.
The third-place Giants improved to 76-73.
