In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Boston Red Sox starter Michael King turned in a top-notch performance against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. The result was a win for the Red Sox, 5-2. Earning his 7th save of the year was Edwin Díaz.

Boston used a clutch at-bat from Ryan McMahon to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm happy we won," said King. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."

The Red Sox go to 13-21 with the win.
