Big Day with Bat: Ford 5-for-6 Wednesday, April 10th , 2024 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Harry Ford is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Las Vegas Aviators at Las Vegas Ballpark. The monster effort from the 21-year-old catcher helped the Salt Lake Bees get the win, 12-6. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Aviators manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Harry Ford doubled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Tanner Burns in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Thus far this season, Ford has hit .300 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 7 times. |
