Albies Leads Reds to Win
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Ozzie Albies, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 10-5. Albies went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Reds. Steven Matz, who finished 2nd in the AL in wins with 14 in 2021, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Reds have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 13 games.

Albies contributed in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Cincinnati get the win.
