Rangers Suffer One-Run Loss at Tampa Bay
Kevin Gausman, who finished 5th in the NL in wins with 14 in 2021, was locked in. The right-hander led the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-3 win against the Texas Rangers at Tropicana Field. Gausman, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Matt Moore got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Harrison Bader helped out the Tampa Bay cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a double.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bader said.

The win gives Tampa Bay a record of 4-2.
