Colorado took on St. Louis in front of a lively crowd.

The Colorado Rockies stormed past the St. Louis Cardinals, 12-7, at Busch Stadium. Colorado center fielderLuis Robert Jr. , who leads the NL with a 1.024 OPS, led the hit parade. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Alexis Diaz earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 3-0.

Colorado needed the clutch hitting of Kyle Stowers to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rockies on top, 6-3. For the game, Stowers had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Stowers.

The win puts the Rockies at 38-26, while the Cardinals drop to 34-31.
