Dodgers Score Late, Topple Rockies, 7-1

The Los Angeles Dodgers took on the Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium.
Colorado got a terrific performance from pitcher Luis Castillo, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers. Los Angeles won the Dodger Stadium contest, 7-1. Castillo threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Erik Swanson, now 3-3, was credited with the win in 2.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 0.
Los Angeles took a 2-1 lead on Jeremy Pena's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Pena hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Colorado pitcher Aroldis Chapman visibly frustrated.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Dodgers manager , "I like our chances."
Los Angeles is now 35-25, Colorado 33-24.
